Karl Weiss: Dear friends of fistball

It is a real pleasure to welcome you to the IFA 2015 Fistball Men’s World Championship Argentina here in Cordoba / Calamuchita.

This event is a highlight of this year’s IFA international schedule.

The world’s best nations try to win the desired title of a world champion.
I am convinced that the competition here in Cordoba is going to attract high awareness of our sport.

The IFA has decided to switch their strategy towards the future and created new measures to increase the attractiveness of fistball. Championships such as this event shall contribute to the vision of a trendy, attractive sport – especially for the youth and the worldwide media.

Fistball needs its own identity. We have to work more intensively for an own image.

This might be possible by international events that are perfectly organised by the federations and their clubs.

The Federacion Argentina de Faustball-FAF and Jose González’s organising committee will try hard to organise games that will be highly satisfactory for players, officials and spectators.

I want to thank all the many people being responsible for the event, no matter whether they pull the strings in front of or behind the scenes.

An event of this size would not be possible without their great help.

I wish all the teams, referees, officials, spectators, the guests from politics,
economy, sport and media fair, attractive and exciting games that put fistball
ahead.
